This series is an example of extreme image processing. In close analogy to the French philosopher Jacques Derrida, you might well refer to it as photographic deconstruction. The main intention in this work is to bring to light the manipulative element in photography, giving the viewer an impression of how this element affects interpretation. Although the underlying photo is the same in each case, depending on how it is finished, it triggers highly varying emotions and associations.
